Sen. Mike Lee and Rep. Andy Harris to Speak at Legislative Conference June 12

Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) and Rep. Andy Harris (R-Md.) will join Rep. Markwayne Mullin (R-Okla.) June 12 as speakers during the ABC Legislative Conference breakfast.

Elected in 2010, Lee has spent his career defending the basic liberties of Americans and is a tireless advocate for the founding constitutional principles. He advocates for efforts to support constitutionally limited government, fiscal responsibility, individual liberty and economic prosperity. Lee is a member of the Judiciary Committee, and serves as ranking member of the Antitrust, Competition Policy and Consumer Rights Subcommittee.

Harris has represented the First Congressional District of Maryland since 2011 and he is a sponsor of the Government Neutrality in Contracting Act (H.R. 436), a bill that would prohibit government-mandated project labor agreements on federally funded construction projects. Harris has led efforts to lower health care costs, increase access to quality care and promote economic growth by making it easier for small businesses to hire. He serves on the Transportation and Infrastructure, Natural Resources and Science Space, and Technology committees.

As an ABC member and successful business owner, Mullin has a track record of operating a company without debt, being innovative and creating jobs in the free enterprise system. During the breakfast, he will share how he believes we should apply those same business principles to the way our government operates.

In addition, the Legislative Conference will give attendees a chance to participate in a day of lobbying and discussions on current and emerging issues facing the construction industry.
