ABC will be hosting a free STEP Plus Safety Excellence Academy “Train-the-Trainer” course, Jan. 9-11 in the National office in Arlington, Va. Owners of ABC member companies, safety professionals and chapter safety staff are encouraged to apply to become one of a select number of Authorized STEP Plus Safety Academy trainers nationwide that are able to conduct the Safety Academy.  

This course will teach attendees how to present the materials developed as part of the inaugural Safety Academy last April and how to use the Academy’s instructor guide.  Graduates of this course will facilitate the 2013 Safety Academies at Biz Con (February 19-21; Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.), the 21st Century Workforce Development Conference (April 30-May 2; Birmingham, Ala.) and at the ABC Institute (early-November; Las Vegas, Nev.).
