In 2004, ABC began presenting the Supportive Contractor Awards to honor two outstanding ABC contractor members for their dedication to advancing careers in construction. Sponsored by ABC's educational affiliate, the Trimmer Education Foundation, these awards have championed careers in construction through the promotion of skilled crafts and construction management education.
The ABC National Careers in Construction Committee is pleased to present this award to recognize an ABC contractor member who has shown outstanding support of and participation in School to Career initiatives, promoting careers in construction in the skilled trades.
- Nominations are to originate from the ABC Chapter and are to be for an individual member.
- Activities for which the member has participated in should have occurred between during 2010.
- The member nominee must have been employed by an ABC member company during the time of the activities.
- The member nominee must be currently employed by an ABC member company.
- Applications are due to ABC National by January 26, 2011.
- Winners will be notified by February 16, 2011.
- The award will be presented at the 2011 ABC Construction Education Conference in San Antonio, TX, along with the Trimmer Teaching Award, Student Chapter Excellence Awards, and the student Construction Management Competition Awards.
