Through 30 different national committees, more than 300 individuals from ABC member companies are helping to address issues of concern to the merit shop construction industry and guide the association in delivering high-quality services to members and chapters.  Here are the top three reasons to get involved in an ABC National committee:

1. Influence the direction of ABC—By providing valuable input to the association's National Board of Directors, committees help establish the policies, priorities and overall objectives of ABC.

2. Network with leaders across the country—With more than 300 individuals serving on National committees, it’s easy to build a professional network and make connections that can help to build a successful business and career.

3. Build valuable skills—From public speaking to topic-specific expertise, volunteers gain a range of new skills and have opportunities to enhance existing skill sets. The industry and career skills learned through ABC events and networking leave the volunteers with tangible resources to take back to their office.

Each of the 30 committees has a specialized area of focus such as legislative issues, green building, safety, workforce development or a variety of other issues.  Explore the many options and learn more about how to get involved at www.abc.org/volunteer
