Right to Work Law Signed in Michigan

ABC commended Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder (R) and lawmakers on Dec. 11 after he signed into law a new Right to Work bill that will protect workers in the state from being forced to pay union dues as a requirement of employment.

Circuit Court Decision Negates Prevailing Wage Law in Lansing, Mich.

The ABC Greater Michigan Chapter celebrated a victory Nov. 16 when the Ingham County Circuit Court found the city of Lansing’s prevailing wage ordinance was unlawful only the state is the only entity that has the authority to regulate wages and benefits.

DOL Issues Bid Solicitation on New Hampshire Project Without PLA Mandate

Last week, the DOL issued a solicitation for construction services on its estimated $20 million to $50 million Job Corps Center in Manchester, N.H., without a discriminatory and costly PLA mandate or preference.
