Seven ABC member companies, representing 26 chapters, were ranked in Fortune Magazine’s annual “Top 100 Companies to Work For” list. They include: Acuity, Plante Moran, Baker Donelson, PCL Construction, Ernst & Young, TDIndustries and Hilti.

The list outlined information for each company including annual revenue, number of employees in the United States, job growth, diversity, training and a description on what makes working for the company so great. 

Acuity, a property and casualty insurer, debuted  on the list because of their amazing benefits including no limit on tuition reimbursement, no cap on paid sick days for full time employees, and a healthy 401(k) plan where company plunks 8% of pay into accounts every quarter. In addition, their full-time turnover is only 1%.

Fortune picks the “100 Best Companies to Work For” based on a survey conducted with the Great Place to Work Institute that is sent to a random sample of employees from each company and measures job satisfaction, camaraderie and management's credibility to account for two-thirds of the company’s score. The remaining one-third of the score is based on the company's pay and benefit programs, hiring practices, methods of internal communication, training, recognition programs and diversity efforts.
