ABC’s National Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) Committee March 19 announced the finalists for the 2007 ABC National Safety Excellence Awards, given each year to ABC member companies who exhibit a consistent, high-level dedication to safety training and incident prevention throughout the company.
More than 110 ABC member companies submitted applications for the awards, which are organized according to the three North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes for construction and broken down into seven different man-hour categories. The EH&S Committee selected 34 finalists based on their application data, safety training programs and Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) Platinum applications from 2006 or 2007.
