The Nova Group, Inc., Napa, Calif., a general engineering contractor with a project portfolio including fueling systems for the military as well as waterfront construction, and a member of ABC’s Golden Gate Chapter, has been recognized by the North Bay Business Journal as one of the area’s Best Places to Work.  

Nova Group was one of 55 winners selected from 121 nominees by the Business Journal editorial department based on several criteria, including an anonymous employee survey and a company application providing information on the Nova Group’s mission, diversity, employee benefits, company culture and community involvement.  

“We are pleased with this important recognition which underscores our company’s strong commitment to our employees and our longstanding involvement in the communities in which we operate and serve,” said Ron Fedrick, chairman and CEO of the Nova Group.  “The value of our culturally diverse workforce brings different perspectives to the table, enhancing our product, and reflects the diversity in the communities in which we work.”  

Fedrick noted that “company management is encouraged to perform 10 hours of community service every month.  We also have a corporate matching gift program that matches employee contributions to local community and industry non-profit organizations.  This has encouraged our employees’ involvement and outreach in our community.”    

Nova Group provides financial and board support for Aldea Children and Family Services in Napa; the Napa Education Foundation, and in local Boys and Girls Clubs, as well as work with construction and construction education foundations and organizations.
