ABC Aug. 18 unveiled an online tax toolkit to help members make their voices heard on tax issues that affect small businesses and the construction community.
The toolkit contains information on the estate tax, Form 1099 filing requirements in the health care reform bill, the 3% withholding tax and capital gains taxes in addition to talking points, letters to the editor, op-eds and opportunities to take action by sending letters to members of Congress.
The toolkit also contains information on the American Job Builders Tax Reform Act of 2010, a bipartisan bill that will modify the tax code to help small construction contractors that are facing increased costs in energy, labor and materials.
In addition, ABC updated the online toolkit for the Employee Free Choice Act, or card check bill, and there is new information available on the Protecting America’s Workers Act that would greatly increase employer penalties if enacted.
