PENNSYLVANIA CONTRACTOR JERRY GORSKI SWORN IN AS 2009 CHAIRMAN OF ABC (02/25/2009)

Honolulu – Jerry Gorski, president of Gorski Engineering, Inc., Collegeville, Pa., today was sworn in as Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) 2009 national chairman at ABC’s National Convention in Honolulu. The ceremony occurred during ABC’s national board of directors meeting. Gorski officially began his one-year term as ABC chairman on Jan. 1.

“Jerry Gorski has been an active member of ABC for 20 years, and we look forward to the coming year under his leadership,” said Kirk Pickerel, ABC president and CEO. “His years of experience within the association make him an excellent chairman and steward of the merit shop philosophy for all of ABC’s 25,000 members.”

Gorski previously served as ABC’s Region 7 vice chairman representing members and chapters in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont.

During his tenure at ABC, Gorski served on the Business Development Committee for 10 years including three as its chairman. Additionally, Gorski spent two years as chairman of the Member Services Coordinating Committee. He also serves as chairman of the board of directors of ABC Services Corp.

At the chapter level, Gorski was chairman of the Southeast Pennsylvania chapter in 1996 and has more than 10 years of service on the chapter’s board of directors. He also has served as chairman of chapter committees on membership, nominations and member involvement.

Gorski is a 1982 Presidential Scholar graduate of Clarkson University, Potsdam, N.Y., where he was inducted into two engineering honor societies.
