- The Membership Director shall be responsible for the direct recruitment of new ABC members and their subsequent annual renewal and management of all recruitment activities. To accomplish this, the Membership Director must be familiar with the issues facing construction industry companies and with the benefits and services available to a company through ABC.
- The Membership Director is expected to spend 75% of their working time out of the ABC office, meeting with ABC members and prospective members at their places of business, on construction job sites, or other locations. The Membership Director is expected to be able to effectively communicate orally in person and on the phone, as well as in writing, using the computer and fax machines.
- The Membership Director reports directly to the Chairman and is the staff liaison to the Membership Committee.
- The Membership Director is a full-time exempt employee of the association and agrees to devote such time as necessary and required to the business of the ABC. You are not eligible for overtime or compensatory time for hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week.
- The Membership Director is expected to attend staff meetings, all general membership meetings, and other meetings as directed to broaden membership contacts, and understanding of association services and member needs.
- The Membership Director is expected to present a monthly recruitment and retention activity report to the Chairman.
- While the ABC office is open between 8:30AM to 6:00PM most business days, the working hours of the Membership Director will be sufficient to accomplish the goals outlined here.
