This webinar is focused on how we implement diversity practices, and why increased adoption of technology becomes a net result of those practices. Alli Scott of Autodesk and Kacie Brewer of United Rentals, two of construction‘s leading brands, will discuss industry trends in regards to these efforts, as well as work that still needs to be done. Additionally, learn how the intersection of culture, diversity and innovation can help you mentor your company’s next generation of leaders and how it will lead to better safety performance, operational efficiency and job satisfaction.

ABOUT THE PRESENTERS

Alli Scott, Director, Construction Thought Leadership, Autodesk
Alli is a “technology translator” who supports construction thought leadership and customer marketing as a part of the Autodesk Construction Solutions (ACS) team. As a member of the marketing leadership team for ACS, she directly contributes to market strategy and oversees the development of construction advocacy programs, in-person experiences, innovation trendspotting and industry thought leadership initiatives. Prior to this role, she supported the national innovation group of Skanska USA's construction division, where she helped to investigate and integrate game-changing tech like virtual design and construction technologies, wearables, IoT/sensors, and drones onto the jobsite. There she also built business strategy for new products and services inspired by innovation endeavors.

Kacie Brewer, Manager, Inclusion & Diversity, United Rentals
In her role at Untied Rentals, Kacie manages specialty groups, including: Women United, for women in the workplace; Veteran’s United, which includes military veterans in each country United Rentals holds a location; and Together United, which serves as an inclusion council. She also launches advocacy events, such as Women’s History Month, Diversity Month and Mental Health Awareness Month to engage various segments of employees. Brewer’s corporate diversity and inclusion programming includes employee resource groups, a coaching program, a diversity partnership with other construction companies as well as diversity requirements from suppliers, subcontractors and hiring managers.
