Washington, D.C. – Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) today announced that Pamela Volm, president of Annapolis Contracting Inc. in Annapolis, Md., has been elected to serve as ABC’s 2015 national chair and David Chapin of Willmar Electric Service in Lincoln, Neb., was elected to serve as ABC’s 2015 chair-elect. In addition, Chuck Goodrich, Gaylor Electric, Inc., Noblesville, Ind., was elected to serve as the new secretary in addition to his role as the Mid-America Region vice chair, and George R. Nash, Jr., Facchina Construction Co., Inc., La Plata, Md., was elected Mid-Atlantic Region vice chair.
 
Volm previously served on ABC’s executive committee as Mid-Atlantic Region vice chair from Jan. 2011 to Dec. 2013 and on ABC’s national board of directors from 2001-2006. She also served in a leadership role at the chapter level with ABC’s Chesapeake Shores Chapter. Volm has more than 22 years of experience in the construction industry and has served as president of Annapolis Contracting Inc. since founding the company in 2003.
 
Chapin began his term as Midwest Region vice chair of ABC in 2012. He served on the ABC board of directors from 1996 through 1998 and in 2009 and 2010. He has been a national Political Action Committee (PAC) trustee for eight years, chairing the committee in 1998 and 1999. He also has served in a leadership role at ABC’s Minnesota and Cornhusker chapters. As president of Willmar Electric Service, Chapin manages a staff of 180 employees and oversees work on commercial and industrial projects.
 
Goodrich, who serves as the executive vice president of Gaylor Electric, Inc., began his term as Mid-America Region vice chair in 2014. He previously served as central council chair for the Indiana Region of ABC and on ABC’s national Free Enterprise Alliance and legislative committees. At Gaylor, Goodrich’s responsibilities include providing leadership, as well as working directly with the location managers for the Ohio, Carolinas, Tennessee, and Indiana offices where he helps with budgeting, training, reviewing all team projects, and community relations.
 
Nash will begin his term as the Mid-Atlantic Region vice chair on Jan. 1, 2015. He currently serves as the chair of ABC’s national Political Action Committee and has served as a mentor and advisor for ABC Metro Washington’s Leadership Development Program and as the chair of the ABC Metro Washington Chapter in 2010. Nash is the director of business of development for Facchina Construction Company, Inc. and has more than 30 years combined experience in the construction industry, having worked in every facet of commercial construction including estimating, procurement, operations, preconstruction and business development.
