ABC will bring together more than 500 construction industry professionals for workshops, competitions and networking at the 21st Century Workforce Development Conference, April 30-May 1, in Birmingham, Ala. Don’t miss out; register now at 21wfdc.abc.org

The conference is centered around the National Craft Championships--a two-day competition that showcases 13 construction crafts--but also will feature seven technical Academies, which will leave attendees with the knowledge and tools to improve on-the-job performance.

The two-and-a-half day Academies will provide intensive training to industry professionals of all experience levels in areas such as project management, safety, financial management, crew leadership, training and education, the National Electrical Code and more. Some of the courses also will offer continuing education units (CEUs).

Additionally, employers will have the opportunity to watch construction management students from 18 universities compete in a project management competition and interview them for internships or permanent positions. The Career Tech Expo will be held on Thursday, May 2 from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and is open to local Alabama high school seniors, vocational tech students, and veterans seeking employment in the craft-side of the construction industry.
