WASHINGTON, Oct. 26—Michael D. Bellaman, president and CEO of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), released the following statement on the U.S. House of Representatives today adopting a Senate budget resolution, which preserves the path to tax reform:

“We applaud House members for adopting the FY 2018 budget resolution that positions Congress to move forward with comprehensive, pro-growth tax reform without the threat of a filibuster. Construction historically faces the highest effective tax burden of any industry. The united tax reform framework is a unique opportunity to create jobs, grow the economy and provide needed relief to working families and small businesses. Now that the real work can begin on crafting the details of a tax reform bill, we hope Congress acts with urgency to get something done.”
