For the 20th consecutive year, TDIndustries has been named on Fortune magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For®” list.  Ranked number 44, TDIndustries jumped 21 spots from its 2016 placement. The list is based on employee ratings of their workplace culture, including the level of trust they feel towards leaders, the pride they take in their jobs and the camaraderie they experience with co-workers.

The 2016 National Safety Award Pinnacle, Excellence and Merit Winners are:

ABC announced three finalists for its annual Young Professional of the Year Award on Oct. 26. Finalists were chosen based on their career achievement, leadership and vision for the future of the commercial and industrial construction industry from a field of more than 30 nominations representing 20 ABC chapters across the country.

The 2015 National Safety Award Pinnacle, Excellence and Merit Winners are:

Seventeen ABC member companies were honored as 2015 Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance (GBRIA) Contractor Safety Excellence Award recipients. Each year, the awards are presented to companies who have demonstrated a level of safety excellence that includes thousands and millions of hours worked without injury, a commitment by management to educate workers, and a culture where accidents do not happen.  The awards were presented on March 19 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. 

Seven ABC member companies, representing 26 chapters, were ranked in Fortune Magazine’s annual “Top 100 Companies to Work For” list. They include: Acuity, Plante Moran, Baker Donelson, PCL Construction, Ernst & Young, TDIndustries and Hilti.

During the Careers in Construction Awards Ceremony March 6, ABC recognized Holley Thomas, a foreman for KBR, Houston, Texas, as its 2015 Craft Professional of the Year and Jonathan Sacks, transmission and distribution training manager for Cianbro, Pittsfield, Maine, as its 2015 Craft Instructor of the Year. The awards were presented during ABC’s Workforce Conference in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. 

ABC member companies were honored by the Construction Users Roundtable (CURT) as they accepted 11 out of the 14 Construction Industry Safety Excellence (CISE) awards at the Nov. 11 CURT National Awards gala in Houston, Texas.

Merit shop contractors give 100% on their jobs, creating innovative and outstanding projects, and now you have the chance to show the construction industry how hard your team has worked. By submitting an application for the 25th Annual National Excellence in Construction (EIC) Awards, your company and project team can join the hundreds of ABC member companies who have been recognized on a national scale for their work.

National Safety Excellence Award (NSEA) applications are due Oct. 31 and can be downloaded on ABC’s website. All 2014 Safety Training Evaluation Process (STEP) Diamond and Platinum recipients are eligible to apply and there is no fee to participate. New STEP Gold recipients may also apply for the NSEA by submitting the NSEA Gold application and $450 application fee. ABC members who do not have STEP status can learn more about STEP on ABC’s website.
