Michael Bennett, senior executive vice president of The Cianbro Cos., Pittsfield, Maine, is the Northeast* region vice chair of Associated Builders and Contractors. Bennett has served in multiple ABC national and local roles, including as past chair of ABC National’s Workforce Development Committee and as a current member and former chair of ABC National’s Health and Safety Committee. He is also a current member of the ABC Maine chapter Board of Directors, which he chaired in 2008 and 2018.

Bennett has been with Cianbro for 30 years, beginning his career in an entry-level administrative role in human resources. Bennett continued to take on responsibilities throughout his career, including oversight of health, safety and environmental, human resources, IT, workforce development, external affairs, communications and media services. Today serves on as an internal director on The Cianbro Cos. Board of Directors.

Bennett serves on the Board of Directors of the National Center of Construction Education and Research. He is a graduate of the University of Maine with a bachelor’s degree in agribusiness/resource economics.
