Ryan Odendahl, CEO of Kwest Group, is the Mid-America* region vice chair of Associated Builders and Contractors. Odendahl has served ABC in multiple national and local roles, including serving as a former chair on both ABC National’s Workforce Development and Health and Safety committees. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the ABC Northern Ohio chapter, where he also served as chair in 2018 and 2019.
Odendahl served two enlistments as a U.S. Marine, later transitioning into industrial construction with a background in environmental science and safety.
He has been with Kwest Group—a heavy civil contractor—for 25 years, progressing from project manager to partner to president and CEO. Under his leadership, Kwest Group has expanded from a regional firm into a nationally recognized company serving the energy, rail, industrial, petrochemical, defense and infrastructure markets. Now a 100% employee-owned company, Kwest Group was named the 2024 ABC National Contractor of the Year.
Odendahl also serves on the Board of Trustees of the National Center of Construction Education and Research and the University of Findlay and is active with the Young Presidents Organization. He earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental and hazardous materials management and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Findlay.
