ABC San Diego chapter
Shandon Harbour is president and CEO of ABC’s San Diego chapter. Throughout her 10-year tenure at the chapter, Harbour has distinguished herself through leadership and a commitment to developing initiatives that deliver tangible value to members, particularly for small to medium-size businesses.
Harbour developed a premier apprentice and journeyperson program that has served hundreds of students in five construction trades. With Harbour at the helm, the chapter received a high-performing chapter accreditation from ABC National over two consecutive four-year periods and medaled every year at the annual ABC National Craft Competition.
Prior to joining ABC, she was an elementary and middle school teacher and peer coach for the San Diego Unified School District. She then served in numerous positions at SDA Security Systems before being promoted to president in 2007.
Harbour was recognized by Security System News as 1 of 20 outstanding leaders under 40 and named one of SD Metro’s “40 Under 40.” The San Diego branch of the YWCA honored her in its “Tribute to Women and Industry” and she was named a “Most Admired CEO” finalist by the San Diego Business Journal.
She is a graduate of the University of Southern California and earned her multi-subject teaching credential from the University of San Francisco.
