Thomas “Murph” Murphy, vice president of Power & Construction Group, Scottsville, New York, is the 2026 chair of the Associated Builders and Contractors National Board of Directors. Previously, he was the chair-elect, secretary and Northeast region vice chair* of ABC.

Murphy served two terms as chair of the Board of Directors of the Empire State chapter and also served on the Executive and Government Affairs committees. In addition to his chapter leadership, Murphy was a trustee of ABC PAC, helping to raise funds in the Northeast region. He led the Northeast region to record-breaking Free Enterprise Alliance fundraisers during his four years as regional vice chair.

Murphy served as general manager at P&CG for over 15 years. Now, in his 19th year he is a member of the executive management team at P&CG, he oversees multiple divisions and leads the company’s strategic business plan.

He was recently inducted into the Who’s Who of America and recognized on the annual Construction Power 100 list by City & State New York. In 2025, he was inducted into the ABC Empire State Chapter Hall of Fame. Murphy is a graduate of the State University of New York at Fredonia with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
