ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
Gene Morton is a Colorado-based organization development consultant and multi-award winning author. He specializes in the design and development of leadership structures. His clients are leaders in for-profit, governmental and not-for-profit organizations.

Gene is a lifelong learner. His M.A. in Industrial Psychology is supplemented with years of training in leadership and organization development through the NTL Institute Program for Specialists in Organization Development and the Center for Creative Leadership among others. He is most curious about the dynamic influence leaders have on one another, their teams and their organization's performance.

His published articles have appeared in Proceedings of the Organization Development Network, Non-Profit World and the Training and Development Journal.

Mastering the dynamics of organized, collaborative leadership execution is his passion. Over the past 35 years, he’s consulted with more than 100 projects with 85 organizations who were engaged in complex merger, leadership turnaround and system redesign projects. As a student of organization behavior, these engagements led him to a deep appreciation of how leadership structure blocks as well as inspires leaders, groups and individual contributors at all levels.

While advising and facilitating leaders in construction, healthcare, and insurance as well as the public sector organizations, he is ever searching for new insights into what makes leaders effective. He enjoys sharing what he has learned through his consulting, training and writing.

Gene brings a pragmatic compassion to his consulting engagements and understands how leaders can manage, managers can lead and what makes them all perform at their best, alone and together.
