In addition, ABC produces the Construction Backlog Indicator, the only economic indicator that reflects the amount of work that will be performed by commercial and industrial construction contractors in the months ahead, and the Construction Confidence Index, a diffusion index that signals construction contractors’ expectations for sales, profit margins and staffing levels. February Construction Unemployment Rates Down Year Over Year in 34 States, Says ABC

WASHINGTON, April 3—The February 2018 not seasonally adjusted (NSA) national construction unemployment rate was 7.8 percent, down 1 percent from February 2017 and the lowest national February rate on record, according to an analysis of U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) data released today by Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC). ABC Honors Future Construction Leaders at Annual College Student Competition

LONG BEACH, Calif., March 23—Sixteen teams of four undergraduate students from colleges and universities nationwide put their construction project leadership skills to the test during Associated Builders and Contractors’ (ABC) annual Construction Management Competition (CMC) at ABC Convention 2018 in Long Beach, Calif.
