Construction Materials Prices Continue to Rise in October

WASHINGTON, Nov. 9—Construction prices rose 0.5 percent in October and are 7.9 percent high than at the same time a year ago, according to an analysis of Bureau of Labor Statistics Producer Price Index data conducted by Associated Builders and Contractors. Prices for nonresidential construction inputs also increased 0.5 percent on a month-over-month basis and are up by more than 8 percent on a year-over-year basis.  

Construction Input Prices Inch Down in December, Up YOY Despite Low Inflation, ABC Says

WASHINGTON, Jan. 11—Overall construction input prices declined 0.1 percent in December, yet despite the lack of inflation for the month, prices are up 5 percent on a year-over-year basis, according to an Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) analysis of  Bureau of Labor Statistics data released today.  Nonresidential construction materials prices also declined 0.1 percent for the month and are up 4.8 percent from the same time one year ago. 

November Construction Input Prices Expand; Year-over-Year Inflation Highest Since 2011

WASHINGTON, Dec. 12 – Construction input prices expanded 0.7 percent in November and rose 5.6 percent on a yearly basis, the largest increase since November 2011, according to an Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) analysis of  Bureau of Labor Statistics data released today. Nonresidential construction materials prices also expanded 0.7 percent for the month and 5.4 percent for the year. Crude petroleum prices rose 11 percent in November and are 31 percent higher than this time last year. 

Construction Input Prices Flat, but Crude Petroleum Prices Plummet in May, ABC Says

WASHINGTON, D.C., June 13—Construction input prices remained unchanged in May, ending five consecutive months of price expansion, according to analysis of  Bureau of Labor Statistics data released today by Associated Builders and Contractors. Construction input prices expanded 3.4 percent on a year-over-year basis.
