Congressional Republicans File Briefs Against NLRB Recess Appointments

DOL Issues Bid Solicitation on New Hampshire Project Without PLA Mandate

Last week, the DOL issued a solicitation for construction services on its estimated $20 million to $50 million Job Corps Center in Manchester, N.H., without a discriminatory and costly PLA mandate or preference. Funding Resolution Signed That Includes DOL Restrictions On H-2B And MSD Rules

President Obama Sept. 28 signed into law a continuing appropriation resolution (H.J. Res. 117) that will fund the Department of Labor (DOL), National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and the Equal Opportunity Commission for the first six months of fiscal year 2013, but that also includes restrictions on actions by DOL. Coalition Submits Letter On Implementation Of The Health Care Law

As part of the Employers for Flexibility in Health Care (EFHC) coalition, ABC Sept. 27 submitted comments regarding implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) – specifically, on determining full-time employee status and the application of the 90-day waiting period limitation.
