After the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Repeal of Obamacare Act (H.R. 6079) on July 11, ABC offered practical, common-sense health care solutions and continued to advocate for full repeal of the health care law.
The U.S. House of Representatives June 7 passed the Health Care Cost Reduction Act of 2012 (H.R. 436) by a vote of 270-146. The bill would repeal two tax increases contained in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA).
ABC has also always been opposed to tax increases, especially at a time when the unemployment rate in the construction industry exceeds 16 percent. The new health care law includes an $87 billion health insurance premium (HIT) tax that will fall hard on small businesses.
