Send a Craft Trainee to the National Craft Championships

ABC members and chapters have the opportunity to showcase the talent of their current workforce and their company’s commitment to training on a national level by sending a competitor to the 2014 National Craft Championships.

During the two-day event, held April 29-May 2 in Birmingham, Ala., in conjunction with ABC’s Workforce Development Conference, young men and women will compete in one of 13 competitions that represent 11 crafts and highlight the craft training and apprenticeship efforts of ABC’s chapters and contractors.

The deadline to submit an Intent to Compete form is Dec. 6. More information on the competition can be found at www.nationalcraftchampionships.org

Some crafts require additional planning and can accept only a limited number of competitors, so don’t delay in sending in the forms. Competitors will be accepted to compete on a first-come, first-served basis.

The following crafts will be represented at the competition:
  • Carpentry: Residential/Commercial
  • Electrical: Commercial-Industrial
