Nominate a Craft Instructor and They Could Win $10,000

Our craft instructors have a huge impact on how well-prepared the nation’s future construction workers are and their dedication to building a skilled workforce should not go unnoticed. To thank our instructors across the country for their hard work, ABC will award an instructor that teaches at an ABC Chapter, training affiliate or member company with $10,000 and the title of Craft Instructor of the Year.

All finalists will be flown to Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and given a three-night stay during the Workforce Conference March 3-6 and will be honored at the Careers in Construction Awards ceremony. The winner will receive $10,000 from NCCER and the Trimmer Construction Education Foundation (TCEF), a trophy, a feature article in Construction Executive magazine and the winner’s employer will receive national recognition through ABC outlets.

To be eligible for the award, the nominee must:
  • Currently teach a construction trade at an ABC chapter in good standing, training affiliate, or an active ABC member firm.
  • Possess a minimum of 3 continuous years of experience teaching a construction trade (or equivalent instructor experience).
  • Be a NCCER Certified Instructor.
