, Nov. 8-12 in San Diego, will provide a variety of opportunities for current and emerging leaders to grow both professionally and personally.
ABC’s 2015 Leadership Week will feature the following events, all taking place in San Diego:
ABC Leadership Institute
This annual conference
is exclusively for ABC chapter leaders including current and upcoming board members and chapter presidents who will have the opportunity to share and learn best practices for running their chapters as volunteer leaders.
The career fair invites qualified construction management candidates interested in internships and full-time employment to meet member companies. Employers will have the opportunity to recruit from some of the best and brightest students entering the industry. The career fair
will be held Nov. 11 from 8:30-11:30 a.m.
Construction Management Competition
ABC's Construction Management Competition
promotes careers in construction management and gives ABC student chapters a chance to demonstrate the skills needed to work in the construction industry.
ABC's Legal Conference
, Nov. 11-12, gives construction attorneys as well as HR professionals and general counsels the opportunity to advance their legal knowledge and share ideas with peers from across the nation. Attendees will hear from nationally known labor law authorities from both the private and public sectors. The content-rich program covers the latest legal developments and insights impacting labor law and open competition in the construction industry.
Peer Group Conference
The second annual Peer Group Conference
is dedicated to ABC National peer group members – both active and pending – offering leading education, best practices and networking opportunities. This piece of Leadership Week will be held Nov. 10-12.
Young Professionals Leadership Development Track
During ABC’s Young Professional Leadership Development Track
, young and emerging leaders within the construction industry have the opportunity to take part in a two-day course that focuses on communication skills, relationship and team-building, inspiring innovation and building a foundation to become a successful leader. The Young Professional events will take place Nov. 10-12.
In addition, networking opportunities will include a happy hour on Nov. 10, an overall conference networking reception on Nov. 11 and a Trimmer Construction Education Foundation Casino Night fundraiser on Nov. 10.
