ABC Workforce Week ’16 attracted well over 500 attendees, with 55 educational sessions, 50+ exhibitors and plenty of excitement. Surveyed shortly after the conference, 91 percent said they planned on returning next year.
Highlights included the ABC Innovation Theater, where attendees got a chance to see into future of the construction industry with the latest in software technology, a live exoskeleton demonstration and drone display. ABC Workforce Week '16 was a remarkable demonstration of what makes our association great.
- During the National Craft Championships, 32 project managers and 200+ competitors clocked more than 4,250 hours working on 13 crafts without a single safety incident. At the end of the week, ABC congratulated the winners in 15 competitions representing 13 crafts.
- We celebrated the best merit shop construction projects at the 26th annual Excellence in Construction® awards gala. A total of 105 projects, collectively worth $2.8 billion, were honored in the industry’s leading competition, which recognizes both general and specialty contractors for innovative and high-quality merit shop construction projects.
- Also at the gala, National Safety Excellence Award winners were selected from ABC member firms that achieved Diamond, Platinum and Gold status in ABC's Safety Training Evaluation Process in 2015, and ABC recognized the country’s leading diversity programs.
Congratulations to all!
