The Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) is offering two free webinars, April 17 and April 24, on the results of the CFMA/ABC IT Survey, which includes hard-to-find information on technology use in the construction industry.
The webinars are designed to give attendees a comprehensive look at the industry’s use of technology and teach them how to use the IT Survey as a meaningful and analytical research tool to influence and drive IT policies, procedures, and decisions.
Topics covered during the
April 17 webinar at 3 p.m. (ET), include:
- An introduction to and background on the IT Survey, including analysis and demographics of participants
- IT organization (staffing, outsourcing of various functions, development of personnel, structured training)
- Policies and procedures (planning , e-mail, help desk, Internet use, storage, BYOD, social media)
- Managing IT for greater impact on performance
Topics covered during the second webinar, April 24 at 3 p.m. (ET), include:
- An introduction and background on the IT Survey, including analysis and demographics of participants
- Infrastructure (Virtualization, data centers, disaster planning, storage, e-mail)
- Budgeting (IT costs, recovery and allocation, software purchase, ROI)
- Software (ERP, ECM, virtualized desktops, field data capture, BIM)
- Managing IT for greater impact on performance
