Construction estimating software developer HCSS announced it will award 17 scholarships worth a total of $50,000 this year to construction interns. ABC member companies are encouraged to promote the scholarship program to their eligible interns.

Eligible internships include any internship in a construction-related field of at least two months in length that occurred during the 2015-2016 school year or Summer 2016. Participants must have been enrolled in a college, university or trade school for the 2015-2016 school year. Submissions will be accepted until Sept. 16.

A total of 17 finalists will be selected and guaranteed at least a $2,000 scholarship. The finalists will be submitted to a voting panel comprised of industry experts, including ABC’s Vice President of Health Safety and Environmental and Workforce Development, Greg Sizemore. The top winner will be named HCSS’s intern of the year and receive a $10,000 scholarship. In addition, four finalists will receive $4,000 scholarships and the remaining 12 finalists will $2,000 scholarships.
