The ABC New Orleans/Bayou Chapter broke ground April 11 in St. Rose, La. on Phase Two of their training campus master plan expansion, which includes an additional 18,000 square feet of classrooms, laboratories and welding booths for its apprenticeship and craft training program, as well as its safety and management education program.

“This expansion will provide the potential of doubling our campus’ student enrollment capacity, which means ABC is taking proactive measures in securing a well-trained, qualified workforce now and for years to come,” said the Chapter’s Board of Managers Chairman, Rodney Landry of Turner Industries Group.

U.S. Senator David Vitter helped the Chapter kick-off the groundbreaking, along with speakers John White, Louisiana Department of Education Superintendent and V.J. St. Pierre, St. Charles Parish President.

The addition to the training center solidifies the Chapter’s dedication to growing the construction industry and enabling people to choose a career in construction.
