The four educational Academies include:

Project Management Academy (co-sponsored by Clemson University's Department of Construction Science Management and held in partnership with NCCER) – Introduces the role and responsibilities of project management, including technical and management skills, and provides an overview of the phases in a construction project and alternate types of project delivery methods.

Financial Management Academy (held in partnership with Construction Financial Management Association) – Teaches technical and non-financial construction business professionals how to master the critical skills of project management as part of their career development.

STEP - Plus Safety Excellence Academy – Designed to help attendees understand the importance of leadership commitment, cultural transformation and safety management processes in achieving a zero-incident jobsite.

Construction Education Professionals Academy – Helps attendees learn what successful training programs across the country are doing, how to reach the next generation, how to become an excellent staff leader and how to use social media to promote their training programs. 

In addition, the 21st Workforce Development Conference features the National Craft Championships—a two-day competition that showcases 13 construction crafts—and the Student Chapter Construction Management Competition
